PERSONAL PROFILE
A multi skilled person with 25 years experience in the media industry, accustomed to working to tight deadlines and budgets. on all types of projects both as part of a team or without supervision, for a large variety of small and large organisations, competent and capable of relating to a diversity of people in a professional and diplomatic manner, and possesses a good sense of humour, conscientious, has the ability to motivate his colleagues, and believes that good teamwork will always achieve high goals, has an ability to problem solve, identify solutions and can oversee projects from their inception to a satisfactory conclusion by utilising his skills, A hard-working and committed individual.
DIRECTING
I have Directed programmes for film, broadcast television, corporate video, multimedia, and the sell-through market. One of my programmes (a corporate drama for Lynx) won an IVCA award, and Recently I completed 2 3D animation stings for Sky Television, Battle for Treasure Castle, A children`s comedy adventure filmed in Holland, I have just completed a short film drama, the Door. An award winning 3D film Cosmic Cookery for Durham University. Directing 12 films for Coventry University. And a World War 1 Docudrama starting May 2009, Directing has given me lots of experience in managing groups of people, this includes delegating work to achieve maximum results on time and on budget.
CAMERAMAN/EDITOR
A very good Lighting/Cameraman, have filmed in many foreign locations which includes a Music video, filmed in Lanzerote, I worked for B`ham Live Television from January 1998 to May 1998 as a News Cameraman/Avid Editor. I have hands on experience in many Beta Linear and Non Linear HD edit systems, including Avid, and Premiere pro systems.

ANIMATION AND SPECIAL EFFECTS
I have produced many 3D animations and stills using Lightwave 3D software, these have been for Corporate, Cable television, and Music Video`s, plus effects for 3D Stereoscopic productions. I have also created many Special effect sequences using After Effects software. My most recent work was on the new musical Charlotte Badger. Showreel available on DVD
WEB SITES AND MULTIMEDIA CREATION

One for British Telecom demonstrating future TV and Communication facility's, Another major project was creating a stereoscopic animation for a multimedia at the British Nuclear Fuel's Visitors Centre. This 'edutainment' programme described the principles of nuclear fission, The latest project was a large product information CD for British Steel.
ANGEL FILMS, STUDIO MANAGER 1991 - 1992 (ANGEL BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS LTD)
I was Studio Manager for 18 months, and was responsible for the running of the Studio, attending sales meetings, working on proposals, doing Camera work Graphics and Editing, Teaching film students on day release, Directing and Managing a small team of people.
CORPORATE VIDEO AND FREELANCE WORK
I set up my own Video Production Company producing corporate videos from 1981 to 1985, During this time I worked on all types of programmes and filmed in many foreign locations including the USA, Greece, Spain, Africa, France, Denmark, Holland, Austria and Norway.
From 1985 to the present time I have done freelance work for many studios as Director / Cameraman / Editor. and from 1990 this included Computer Graphics and Animation.
3D STEREOSCOPIC IMAGERY
I have made many stereoscopic 3D films for Theme parks and for Industry, and over the last few years I have made a 3D film featuring Norman Wisdom. Filmed the rock group Queen for a 3D short, and produced Cosmic Cookery 3D for Durham University, This was a High Definition 3D film about how Galaxy’s are formedand was shown at the 2005 Royal Science Exhibition in London. The film has won 1st prize at the VizNet visulisation awards.

Most recently I ran a film course during National Women’s Week for a group of teenage girls
I have also given many talks and demonstrations on Stereoscopic Photography to professional Society's
FILM TRAINING
I trained for one year at the Central Film Unit, Richmond, learning all aspects of film production; this culminated in working on a 16 mm puppet film, ("The Little Match Stick Girl")
I then made my first film for the Army ("Snow Queen").
THEATRE AND MUSIC
I use to be a very keen amateur actor and I have appeared in many stage musicals and plays. playing Leads and Character parts. The last in June 1999 was Dead Funny at the Cresant Theatre, Birmingham. I have also appeared in several corporate dramas.
My Theatre work and Music Training have helped in many aspects of my work:
Gives me a sympathetic approach to people in front of the camera,
Having a better understanding of the merits of a performance and how to improve it,
Cutting to music and pacing of edits, and choosing music tracks for the edit.
BRITISH ARMY BANDSMAN
Six and a half years with The Worcestershire & Sherwood Foresters Regimental Band from 1975 To 1981. This included one year at the Kneller Hall School of Music, I passed all 3 music grades - equivalent to all the Associated Board of Music exams.
MOBILE CINEMA
On leaving school, I set up as a businessman and entrepreneur - running my own 16mm mobile cinema.
