Potters Museum
Jamaica Inn, Bolventor, Launceston, Cornwall.
Guinea pigs playing cricket, squirrels carousing in a tavern and a schoolroom
full of rabbit pupils, these are just some of the astonishing exhibits in
Mr Potter's Museum of Curiosity.
Walter Potter, a Victorian who combined the skill of taxidermy with a roguish wit,
spent most of his life creating a unique collection of stuffed animals.
His entire museum was acquired by the Jamaica Inn in 1988 and now provides a
source of both amazement and amusement to all who visit.
